About this Health Package
What is Jaanch PCOD Mini?
The Jaanch PCOD Mini is a comprehensive 50-parameter screening package specifically designed for women living with or at risk of Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD/PCOS). 1 in 5 Indian adolescent girls suffers from PCOD — yet most go undiagnosed for years. This package covers the key hormonal, metabolic and haematological markers needed for a complete PCOD assessment.
All tests are powered by Thyrocare from NABL-accredited, CAP-accredited labs. Reports are released within 6 hours of samples reaching the lab. Up to Rs.500 cashback on submission of first doctor consultation invoice after checkup.
Tests Included (50 Parameters)
Hormonal Profile (7 Tests)
- Estradiol / Oestrogen (E2) — Primary female sex hormone; measures ovarian function and oestrogen balance. Abnormal E2 is common in PCOD.
- Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) — Regulates ovarian follicle development; imbalance causes irregular periods and ovulation problems.
- Free Testosterone — The active form of testosterone; elevated in PCOD, causing acne, excess hair growth and irregular cycles.
- Luteinising Hormone (LH) — Triggers ovulation; an elevated LH:FSH ratio (above 2:1) is a classic diagnostic marker for PCOD.
- Prolactin (PRL) — Elevated prolactin can mimic PCOD symptoms — irregular periods, infertility and breast changes.
- Homa Insulin Resistance Index — Calculated marker of insulin resistance; 70% of women with PCOD are insulin resistant.
- Insulin – Fasting — Directly measures fasting insulin to detect hyperinsulinaemia underlying PCOD.
Insulin Sensitivity (1 Test)
- Quantitative Insulin Sensitivity Index (QUICKI) — Validated index measuring how effectively insulin is working; low values indicate insulin resistance in PCOD.
Thyroid Profile (1 Test)
- Ultrasensitive TSH (UTSH) — Thyroid dysfunction closely overlaps with PCOD symptoms; TSH screening is essential as hypothyroidism can mimic and worsen PCOD.
Lipid Profile+ (10 Tests)
- Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL, Triglycerides — PCOD significantly increases cardiovascular risk; lipid screening identifies dyslipidaemia early.
- LDL/HDL Ratio, NON-HDL, TC/HDL Ratio, HDL/LDL Ratio, TRIG/HDL Ratio — Advanced lipid ratios for comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment.
Diabetic Profile (3 Tests)
- HbA1c — 3-month average blood sugar; women with PCOD have 4-8x higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
- Average Blood Glucose — Calculated from HbA1c; reflects long-term glucose control.
- Fasting Glucose — Direct fasting blood sugar measurement for diabetes/pre-diabetes diagnosis.
CBC — Complete Blood Count (28 Tests)
- Haemoglobin, RBC, WBC, Platelet Count, PCV, MCV, MCH, MCHC, RDW
- Differential leucocyte count: Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Monocytes, Eosinophils, Basophils
- Platelet indices: MPV, PDW, PCT
- Detects anaemia (very common in PCOD women), infections and immune conditions.
